3. Links

From Help

Links are what make wikis stand out from other information sharing applications. With wikis it is very easy to add links to other pages within your wiki, others' wiki pages, or to completely different Internet sites. You can even link to images or files. This makes wikis kind of like a universal glue that allows you to connect any manner of information and resources.

Create a Link

Edit the page you wish to add the link to. Highlight the text you wish to be the link and click "Insert/modify link" from the Editor toolbar.

./creat link.png

By default the link is preset to create a sub-page titled for the text you've highlighted. You can browse to the page or file you wish to link to if it's internal to the system by clicking and double-clicking the pages to navigate the wiki hierarchy. Or you can link to an external Internet resource, such ashttp://www.cnn.com (http://www.cnn.com/).

./creat link2.png

After you've selected the page, file, or external resource you wish to link click "Make link" and then save the page.

./create link4.png

Edit Link

Highlight the link you wish to edit and click "Insert/modify link" from the Editor toolbar. You can then alter the link in the same way you create a link.

./Edit link.png

Alternatively, while in the Editor you can right-click the link and choose “Remove/Delete Link, Modify Link, or Check Link.

./Modify Link.png

Click “Save” after making your desired changes.
